I received an e-copy in exchange for an honest review.
Sadly, I have to put this book in my DNF column of reads. I can’t quite put my finger on what I didn’t like about the book, but after 15%, i still couldn’t engage with the characters or the story.
The good: I love the cover. It is beautiful and captivating. The editing was good, no major issues found; and nothing that took away from the story.
The bad: The story was slowwwww. The characters were not very likable and I had a hard time relating to them at all. I had no cares to give about whether the main character even met the hero.
The ugly: Not a dern thing.
Final thoughts: This book is YA. I think it might be young, young adult. I like a bit more spice and vinegar in my characters and a quick moving story. While this book was not for me, I would recommend it to readers that like to slowly fall for their stories.
